Ocean Course & Oak Alleys: Charleston & Kiawah Golf
Four Lowcountry courses, including the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island.
Charleston pairs historic charm with excellent golf. The Ocean Course at Kiawah hosted the 2012 PGA Championship, Crooked Oaks at Seabrook Island Club is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design on Seabrook Island near Johns Island, and Dunes West and Shadowmoss are great-value local favorites.
The Lowcountry is wind, marsh, and live oaks. Kiawah's Ocean Course is a bucket-list round, and the rest of the trail keeps the cost manageable.
Crooked Oaks at Seabrook Island Club tee times can be booked three days in advance for island resort guests, so plan around lodging.
